Organisers of the third edition of the Great Limpopo Cultural Fair says this year's event will be more important than the previous editions as they seek to empower the disadvantaged groups in the community through cultural
entrepreneurship. The 2015 event which is organised by Gaza Trust in partnership with Chiredzi Rural District Council will be held from July 29 to August 2, at Mhlanguleni Grounds in Chiredzi under the theme "Improving Rural Livelihoods Through Cultural Entrepreneurship".
In an interview with The Mirror, Gaza Trust Founder Hebert Pikela said the 2015 edition seeks to empower the
disadvantaged community groups that is women, those living with disabilities and youth through cultural entrepreneurship. He also said his organisation will launch a scholarship at this year's fair. "The edition aims at providing life changing benefits to marginalised people in the communities. The cultural entrepreneurship networking forum will provide a platform for sharing business experiences to traders in the cultural industry. Our core business as a Trust is to empower economically the communities that border the great Limpopo Transfrontier Park through cultural initiatives. "Through the cultural fair a scholarship fund has been established which will benefit brighter students within schools in Great Limpopo region," Pikela said. Pikela said they are expecting a number of foreign guests from neighbouring countries Mozambique and South Africa, traditional leadership, academics, government ministries and the media fraternity.
